Hamburger Mary’s St. Louis announced, on Wednesday, that they have raised over $1,000 dollars for St. Louis First Responders. St. Louis Cares, a Benefit for St. Louis First Responders, was hosted online by Hamburger Mary’s St. Louis on Monday, April 14th.
Drag Performers from all over St. Louis and the region; including Miss Gay America 2020, Pattaya Hart, submitted performances dedicated to St. Louis First Responders. Donations and tips were collected during the live feed on Hamburger Mary’s Facebook Page via CashApp and Venmo. All funds collected were used to purchase gift cards to local restaurants to give to our local first responders.
“We were looking for a way to give back, to show our support for those workers on the front line every day,” says David Pardue, co-owner of Hamburger Mary’s St. Louis. “This was an opportunity for our cast and other performers to come together to use their talents to raise funds to not only support our first responders but also our fellow local restaurants.”
The Facebook Live Event is currently available on Hamburger Mary’s St. Louis Facebook Page www.facebook.com/stlouismarys/. With over 6,000 views and 60 shares we are still collecting donations via CashApp $Marys400 or Venmo David-Pardue-6 for an additional 48 hours. Please feel free to watch, share, and donate if you can.
