Gateway Men's Chorus Tackles 'Pride & Prejudice', March 27 & 28

In March, Gateway Men's Chorus will turn the discussion inward by hosting a musical conversation surrounding the prejudices and biases that exist within the LGBTQIA+ community.

PrideAndPrejudice20Ranging in topics from trans exclusion to dating "preferences" to the lack of intersectionality with other communities, GMC will tackle these tough issues in a way that engenders audience members to look inside themselves and begin to build a more equitable and inclusive LGBTQIA+ community.

"PRIDE & PREJUDICE is an opportunity for us to explore the meaning of our mission within our own community. It's a musical conversation where the music, the multi media projections, and our speakers guide the audience through what it means to be both part of the LGBTQIA+ community and still be outside the community. With focus on race & ethnicity, femininity vs masculinity, body shaming, gender expression & identity, ageism, and so many other topics -- it's an opportunity for us all to realize where our biases exist and how we can better come together as a community."

Tickets are on-sale now at www.gmcstl.org . Special ticket options are available to underserved and at-risk communities and groups. Please email opertations@gmcstl.org to inquire.
