All Missouri Counties Now Issuing Same-Sex Marriage Licenses

PROMO - Missouri's statewide LGBT advocacy organization - announced on Friday that all Missouri counties are now issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples following last month's U.S. Supreme Court ruling making marriage equality the law of the land.

#Boom reported this week that Barry County in southwest Missouri was the lone holdout and "in process" to comply with the High Court's ruling.

On Tuesday, Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon, a Democrat, signed an Executive Order mandating all government agencies, bureaus and commissions to fully implement the SCOTUS decision in Obergefell v. Hodges. This includes updating forms and operating procedures to be fully inclusive.
