ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Last month, Pride St. Louis announced their partnership with the St. Louis Blues hockey team for the second LGBTQIA+ Pride Night at the Blues to coincide with the NHL's Hockey is for Everyone month. The game, which will occur on Tuesday, February 6th at the Scottrade Center, will be against the Minnesota Wild.

“We’re encouraged to see St. Louis’ sports teams take a stand on diversity, equality, and inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community," said Matt Harper, president of Pride St. Louis. "Their support shows that St. Louis is committed to being a city that values our community.”

A limited amount of tickets are available for purchase. Interested individuals and groups can purchase tickets at using the code “PRIDE18”. Ticket buyers using the promo code will receive a rainbow Blues hat with their purchase. Attendees can also enjoy the Metropolitan Community Church of Greater St. Louis Choir singing “God Bless America” at the game, along with a rainbow lit arena complete with opening ceremony honoring hometown hero, Jake Bain, the out and proud star running back from John Burroughs who is Indiana State bound. 


“The St. Louis Blues are a team dedicated to our fans and we mean it when we say ‘All Together Now,’ said Steve Chapman, Vice President for the St. Louis Blues. "The hockey culture is one of inclusion, and we welcome all fans to enjoy the passion of Blues hockey.”

Pride St. Louis will be staffing two booths at the game in Sec 105 and at the Pepsi Plaza, selling mini rainbow LGBTQIA+ pride flags and rainbow beads with the Blues medallion; 100% of the proceeds will go to Pride St. Louis and its many community programs, courtesy of BMO Harris Bank. Further, the BMO Harris Bank “Show Your Pride Cam” will show fans in the crowd waving their flags.


Just John Nightclub (4112 Manchester Ave) and Bar:PM (7109 South Broadway) will both be running shuttles to and from the game. Those riding the shuttles will be entered into a drawing to win prizes that include autographed memorabilia, tickets to future games, and the opportunity to ride the Olympia (Zamboni) to clear the ice between periods.
