CHICAGO, Ill. - The “Illinois LGBTQ Forum: The Democratic Candidates for Governor" was held at the Second Presbyterian Church in Chicago on Dec. 6th.


Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer Illinoisans had an opportunity to hear directly from the Democratic candidates for governor about the issues that impact their lives at the first-of-its-kind event .


Organizers included The Association of Latinos/as Motivating Action (ALMA), the Equality Illinois Institute, and Pride Action Tank.


Candidates participating hoping to replace first term Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner were: State Sen. Daniel Biss, anti-violence activist Tio Hardiman, Superintendent Bob Daiber, businessman J.B. Pritzker, and businessman Chris Kennedy.


The Illinois General Primary will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018.
