BELLEVILLE, Ill. - Metro East Pride of Southwestern Illinois will kick off three consecutive weekends of Pride in the region - theirs taking place at the start of West Main Street in historic Belleville, Illinois - on Saturday, June 11 from noon-10 p.m.

In 2008, organizers across the river married LGBT Pride with Main Street USA. The family-friendly hybrid was a nod not only to our annual equality celebrations commemorating the Stonewall Riots each June, but also to the small town Metro East street festival. In the shadow of Belleville's historic fountain, thousands will revel on West Main and browse organizational, business and arts booths, while listening to local acts from the central stage.
