ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Pride St. Louis, Inc., organizers of the annual LGBTQIA+ PrideFest to be held June 24, 25, & 26 at Soldier's Memorial downtown, have announced the addition of several headlining acts in addition to Jordin Sparks, who was teased last month.

Joining the former American Idol winner on Saturday at St. Louis PrideFest 2016 is soulful crooner Johnathan Celestin, and DJ and dance sensation Havana Brown, best known for her smash collaboration with Pitbull, “We Run The Night." On Sunday, immediately following the Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals Grand Pride Parade, performances kick off with the breakthrough pop/hip-hop duo Karmin, followed by Canadian pop artist Shawn Hook. The festival concludes on Sunday with an eclectic performance by Melanie Martinez, former contestant on The Voice, best known for her critically acclaimed single “Pity Party” and her single “Carousel”, which was featured on season three of American Horror Story, presented by iHeartRadio's Z107.7 and Wild 104.9.

“We are so pleased to announce this dynamic list of national headlining entertainment,” said Pride St. Louis Entertainment Director Marty Zuniga. “The lineup features a number of Top 40 artists covering a wide array of genres and I think there is truly something for everyone who is attending Pride this year.”

In addition to these highly acclaimed artists who will be performing on the Bud Light Entertainment Stage, organizers are pleased to announce the debut of Pride Night at the Movies Presented by Edward Jones. On Friday, June 24 beginning at 8:30 p.m., PrideFest will show a feature presentation of the 2007 musical film, Hairspray.

The film achieved both critical and commercial success and was adapted from the original 1988 John Waters cult classic starring Divine. Admission is free and doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and will feature eclectic food truck selections and libations.

PrideFest 2016 will also include three days of family friendly activities, including the Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals Grand Pride Parade on Sunday, June 26 at 12 p.m. on Market Street. PrideFest continues to be one of nation’s largest free PrideFest celebrations, thanks to the many companies, businesses, and vendors who participate each year. Last year’s event drew an estimated 200,000 revelers over the three day weekend.

“Thanks to the City of St. Louis, the Mayor’s office, the downtown St. Louis business community, as well as the numerous corporations who sponsor PrideFest each year, the event continues to thrive," said Pride St. Louis President, Matt Harper. "The greater St. Louis region has fully embraced this important festival which offers the LGBTQIA+ community an opportunity to engage and educate on relevant topics.”
