ST. LOUIS - The International Puppy Contest (IPC) returns to St. Louis, July 16-19, 2015 with the majority of events being held at JJ's Clubhouse north of the Grove.

The move  to JJ's took place following the closing of Bad Dog Bar & Grill late last year. Bad Dog had signed a five year contract with The International Puppy Club to host the annual fetish contest.

“We moved the contest to St. Louis because it’s easier to get to from around the country,” said Sir Joseph Mastrapasqua, Executive Producer of IPC, in an interview last year. “There were more puppies that we were hearing from on Facebook and through emails saying that they wanted to come but it was just too far away for them. If you’re coming from the Northwest it’s easy to get to St. Louis. St. Louis has never had an international contest - let's make it the first."

IPC was created in November 2011 to celebrate the puppy community and designed to show the best of the best from around the world. Contestants compete in four catelgories: Interview, Street Image (gear worn on the street), Puppy Play, and on delivering a two minute speech.

According to organizers, the contest is more than a title, but an effort to bring the community together while promoting education, understanding, opportunity and friendship to pups new and old.

Produced by The International Puppy Club, IPC was previously held in St. Petersburg, Fla. in conjunction with Tampa Bay Fetish Pride and Florida Leather n Fetish Pride. Last year organizers brought the contest, which is loosely based on International Mr. Leather in format, to St. Louis.

Hotel and travel information is available at puppy and the distinguished judges and emcees of both contests will be announced soon. Questions on the weekend can be emailed to Papa Woof Roth at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
