“St. Louis has a wonderfully diverse LGBTQ community,” explained Lola Van Ella, Co-Producer of The Big Gay* Soirée and owner of Van Ella Productions and Van Ella Studios. “We have a long history of marches, rallies, parades, and events to celebrate and commemorate Pride weekend. We are providing St. Louis with a spectacular addition to our Pride festivities that will not only thoroughly captivate and amaze people, but could also bring together our sometimes fractured community in the most inclusive and celebratory way through incredible music and entertainment.”
The creators of The Big Gay* Soirée have been purposeful in choosing the featured acts and ensemble to showcase a diverse kaleidoscope of races, genders and sexual identities. The asterisk (*) in the event title stands for “Inclusive and all encompassing of gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, queer, genderqueer, gender non-binary, asexual, pansexual, heterosexual, intersex, polyamorous, polyglotonous, girls, bois, little monsters, queens, kings, other nobility, the bourgeoisie, the rabble, the gentry, their allies and the people who love them.” The event will marquee a large cast of performers from around the country and featured acts inspired literally by each color of the rainbow.
