CHICAGO, IL - St. Louis' own Tiffany T. Hunter has captured the crown of Miss Continental 2015-2016 at the 36th annual female impersonation contest held at The Vic Theatre in Chicago, Ill. over Labor Day weekend.

It's been five years since a St. Louis entertainer brought home a national title from one of the "big four" systems. Tiffany now joins the rarefied air of Phalon Steele (Miss Gay USofA Newcomer 2010), Seymour Chilton (Mr. Gay USofA at Large 2009), the late Savion Simpson Black (Mr. Entertainer of the Year 2008), William Benion (Mr. Entertainer of the Year 2006), Kitty Litter (Miss Gay USofA at Large 2004), Tumara Mahorning (Miss Continental Plus 2000), Antonio Edwards (Mr. Gay All American 1998/Mr. Gay USA 2001/Mr. Continental 2005), the late Shayla Simpson (Miss National Entertainer of the Year 1993) and Vicki Vincent (Miss Gay America 1989.)

This was Tiffany's seventh attempt at capturing the title of Miss Continental, which was founded in 1980 by Jim Flint. The Staunton, Ill. native bested the field of 27 contestants from across the country competing in the categories of swim suit, evening gown, talent and on-stage question.

Tiffany is the reigning Miss Illinois Continental 2015; a former Miss Minnesota Continental 2013 and Miss Heart of America Continental 2011. She is also a former Miss Minnesota USofA 2007 and Miss Bubby & Sissy's 2010.

[Editor's Note]: Charity Case (Miss Gay America 2000) and Desiree DeMornay (Miss Continental Plus 2006/Miss Gay USofA at Large 2011) were not included in the list of St. Louis entertainers who caputred a national title from one of the "big four" systems because they had moved prior to their wins to Texas and Florida, respectively.
