Butters

ST. LOUIS, MO - He's fearless, forthright and ringing in the New Year with some unexpected national buzz.

Michael Rockafellow, better known as the infamous one-armed drag queen ButterScotch has been featured in the latest edition of Willam Belli's BEATDOWN. The uber popular web-series hosted by the actor, singer and RuPaul's Drag Race Season 4 finalist showcases the best and craziest online videos while Willam entertainingly opines as only he can do.

"I wanted to feature people on BEATDOWN that should not be forgotten; bitches that do it and do it well who may not get the recognition they deserve," said Willam on Butters being included in the "all cross dresser" edition. "Butterscotch, Morgan McMichaels and Tandi are all people that I think everyone should see live. Tandi’s dead so that can’t happen but I want people to discover the new talent out there that’s doing the damn thing."

With musical influences ranging from Pink to Ke$ha, ButterScotch debuted on area stages in May 2010 capturing the attention of many with his fresh and innovative performances. Over the past four years he has captured several titles including Miss Baddest Bitch 2011, Miss Club Escapade 2011, Miss Sparkle 2011, Miss Independence Place 2012, Miss Gay Columbia USofA 2013 and has qualified for Miss Gay Missouri America 2015 as River City First Alternate.

"It's freaking amazing," said Butters. "Having watched the BEATDOWN from the beginning and now to be featured in one just blows my mind."

Michael/Butters keeps busy with bookings across the region and is in the process of finishing cosmetology school. His goal is to become the nation's first licensed one-armed hair stylist.

[Editor's Note]: Michael Rockafellow is a writer and photographer for #Boom Magazine and partner of Colin Lovett.
